Jacqui Foster

Managing Director

With over 20 years’ experience in leading and managing diverse operational teams across multiple sectors in Australia and overseas policing environments – Jacqui has a track record of focusing on Law Enforcement and Security engagement in Australia and overseas. 


She commenced her Law Enforcement career in the South Australian Police Force and then moved to the AFP. She left the AFP as a Senior Sergeant.


During her tenure in the AFP she led and managed many Close Personal Protection Teams and Witness Protection operations inside and outside Australia. She was involved in the strategic, operational and tactical planning for Ambassadors, Heads of State and Government and high-level visiting dignitaries – including the US, Pakistan and Chinese Presidents.


As the Manager of Protection Specialist and Driver Training in the AFP – Jacqui was responsible for the implementation and delivery of Close Protection Training Courses and other specialist training courses including Bomb, Bikes and Operational Safety Training.



In the past five years Jacqui has provided Leadership of the National Security Team and Management Team for multiple embassies and locations around Australia.

As the Director of DPG she has developed and implemented ISO Certifications 9001, 14001 and 45001 to achieve operational excellence and safeguard her workforce and minimise environmental impact and position DPG for sustainable growth and success in the global market.

John Foster

Business Manager

John Foster is a former Detective Sergeant with the Australian Federal Police (AFP) who brings over 25 years of distinguished experience in law enforcement and security to his current role as a premium security contractor and the Business Manager of the highly

 sought after Diplomatic Protection Group. 


Specialising in Close Personal Protection, John has developed an impressive track record protecting a distinguished list of Australian and foreign high office holders. Notably, he served as lead security agent in charge of the former Governor-General, General

 Sir Peter Cosgrove. John’s Close Protection portfolio also includes safeguarding former Governor-Generals, Prime Ministers and Foreign and Defence Ministers.


John’s expertise extends to close protection for internationally recognised figures, particularly through his extensive work with the Israeli diplomatic mission in Canberra. He has served as a close protection agent for former Israeli Ambassadors, and led the

 team assigned to secure former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak during his visit to Australia in 2002. 


His international experience is equally expansive. John has led and participated in security operations and diplomatic protection assignments across numerous countries, including Baghdad, Kuwait, China, South America, Mexico, USA, Afghanistan, Belgium, Netherlands,

 Norway, United Kingdom, France, Scotland, UAE, and Saudi Arabia. Of particular note, John provided security and protection support during the civil unrest in East Timor in 2006, where he was tasked with safeguarding then Prime Minister José Ramos-Horta. 


John oversees a team of seasoned security professionals dedicated to delivering tailored risk management, secure transport, and protective services for diplomats, executives, and high-value clients across Australia and internationally. Diplomatic Protection

 Group is recognised for its discretion, reliability, and expertise in advanced threat assessment, ensuring the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality. 


John continues to share his wealth of knowledge by mentoring the next generation of protective specialists, upholding rigorous standards and advancing best practices within the international security sector.

Mark Andrews

Compliance Manager

Mark’s career in the ACT Police/Australian Federal Police spanned a period of almost 35 years. In 1999, Mark became the Director of Operations Support for the Protection portfolio in the AFP. This role entailed provision of support to all Close Personal Protection, Witness Protection and Security Intelligence Teams. In this role he was responsible for Ministerial briefings provided to Government after the 911 attacks which resulted in a significant increase in the Protection portfolio to meet the requirements of the threat level. 

 

In 2003 Mark moved to his final position within the AFP as the Security Controller to Parliament House, where he was responsible for the provision of security to the Parliamentary precincts. Mark was responsible for the management of a A$12 million budget and the management of over 100 operational staff. In this role he answered directly to the Speaker of the House of Representatives in relation to all security issues pertaining to Parliament House and the Parliamentary precincts. 

Mark left the AFP as a Superintendant.

Grace Foster

HR Assistant

Grace Foster is an enthusiastic and dedicated member of the Diplomatic Protection Group’s Human Resources team. She brings strong organisational abilities, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for people management to her role as HR Assistant. Currently completing her Certificate IV in Human Resource Management, Grace combines her studies with hands-on experience supporting recruitment, employee development, and workplace culture initiatives at DPG.

Grace is committed to contributing to the success of the DPG team through professionalism, integrity, and a proactive approach to supporting both staff and organisational goals. Looking ahead, she hopes to continue advancing within the security and human resources sector, building on her skills to become a trusted leader in people operations and organisational development.
